We've visited these places in the world so far. Pre-Skypeathon!
Pre-Skypeathon this is where we (my students and I) have traveled so far in the world...without ever leaving the classroom. Some places we have come back to and with some schools there have been proper collaborations and with others the occasional video message. After looking at this map I'm even more looking forward to our Skypeathon and all the new places, and faces, that we will see!

Skyping with author Todd Strasser
Today we had the opportunity to Skype with American Todd Strasser, author of around 140 young adult books, including "The Wave" which some of my students read last year. Questions had been prepared by using Google Forms where all the students wrote their questions for Mr. Strasser. Not only did my students ask Mr Strasser about being an author and the creative process, but they were also curious about what he thought about Trump as president and the latest debacle about "what's happening in Sweden." The 40 minutes went by very quickly and my lasting reflection is how great Skype is to use in the classroom. Love it!
