Informal letter phrases for greetings and closings

Salutation/greeting

Usually starts out with Dear X, or Hi/Hello X and is generally followed by a comma.

Note: You can use an exclamation point also if there is a need for some emphasis. 

Closing

Your closing phrase should be followed by a comma and your signature/name.
