Making entry and exit tickets in Canva

I have been using exit tickets for quite some time now, not every week but a few times a month and I use them to either evaluate, assess or check something before the students leave the classroom. Now I have decided to also start using entry tickets to get the students active right away when coming into the classroom. Here is a newly made version! Feel free to use, if you want. :)

Evaluation of module 1: Tolerance

This exit ticket really made my day!

Needless to say really, but this exit ticket made my day. The students were asked "What have you learned this week?" and this student's answer blew me away. I've succeeded in making this student feel comfortable in my classroom and in understanding that making mistakes is part of the learning process... A good feeling indeed. :)

How to comment on the writings of others - poster

While working with the Global Read Aloud I hope that the students will comment on the work of others on Edmodo by offering suggestions, asking questions, making connections and hopefully, ending their inputs with some encouragement.

There is a Blackout Poetry contest on its way at school, here are some of the students' contributions....

The students in year 9 have handed in their summaries (of short stories). I made the summaries anonymous, added a number to each text and sat the students in groups. In groups of four they read through the summaries, kept a protocol where they also commented on the quality of each summary. Afterwards, one student said "this was such a great assignment!" I totally agreed - they took great responsibility, cooperated well and learned a lot.

Today I dove into an ocean of web sites, apps and other digital tools during my study day. I'm looking to refresh my digital skills and I had lots of ideas pop up today, while looking at some old and new web pages. Here I've tried to collect many of the ones I was introduced to today and I've also commented on some tools that I've used myself, at least a few times.
